Don White died at home in Los Angeles, June 21, 2008. He was loved throughout the hemisphere, especially in El Salvador. Don was the convener of all the National Conventions of CISPES, Committee in Solidarity with the people of El Salvador.

The Mystery of Don White: I have spent the entire week looking through thousands of photos to find these of Don. When I finally found that box in the basement that contained all the old CISPES stuff, I was surprised to find Don not at all. It seems that he never made the group photos or the parties or fooling around at summer camp. So I have to assume he was always working, and talking between meetings to make them the best they could be.

Here is the only sighting, Summer Camp at Camp Kinderland, 1993 or 1994. Copied many times.

June 2007: Chicago, UFPJ Convention. Don shares a laugh with the Peace Movement.

Once I was gossiping with Don about some other organization. I said, "Well, they carry alot of baggage." He said, "They are on the highway with their maletas, as we speak."

Don taught me the true meaning of solidarity. He will be truely missed.
