Led by the NYC Community Gardens Coalition, hundreds of supporters of NYC Community Gardens attended a hearing of the Parks Department to speak to the protecting the status of gardens around the city. The Parks department is proposing lifting the protected status that Garden activists won in 2002. |

A long line and barricades were provided by the city. |
